Busy Weekend at the Hurst

Hello Everyone,

I have two big events to report about from this weekend, but before that let's talk about this weather. So gosh darn B-E-A-UTIFUL! I'm am enjoying the cool spring breeze in my dorm room as a write this.
Garvey Park - Students enjoying the beautiful weather
So, while this weather is beautiful, the Mercyhurst Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America host their first Frozen Putt-A-Thon on Saturday. The event was far from frozen, but it was still a great opportunity for our members to have a practical learning experience with media relations, event planning, brand creation and management, and dealing with corporate sponsorships. This is an event that we hope to continue to grow in the next couple years and really make a staple in the Erie area.
Also this weekend, today we held the annual Mercyhurst Ambassadors Spring Tea event in Christ the King Chapel. This year, after 20 weeks of hard work, we inducted 28 new Ambassadors and celebrated the work of our more than 25 graduating seniors. Just a beautiful day to celebrate a great and ambitious club.

That really is the extent of my weekend. On the professional side of things, I currently have interviews in with Cedar Point, Six Flags Great America and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Cross your fingers and say a prayer for the best. I'd really appreciate it. :)

Happy Sunday!

Thanks for reading,
Joe
